Hi,
I am having issues with the form 11 and the Residental Premises Income Relief.

I applied for a tax clearance certificate online and received it today. When I populate the fields it calculates the 600 euro rebate, but when it click forward it's looking for me to click box that I have already ticked for tax clerance..

Anyone experience same issue?

Hi,

Managed to get it sorted this morning. Must have been a synching issue after applying for the Tax Clearance Certificate.

This tax credit wasn't really on my radar until now. Luckilly I hold a current tax clearance cert and haven't yet submitted my income tax return for 2024. According to ROS it's several years since I actually renewed the tax clearance cert. Do I need to actively renew it each year to claim this credit going forward or will Revenue prompt me to renew it at regular intervals? It says I only need to renew if my circumstances change.

I’m also having issue with this section of form 11. I have a tax credit certificate etc, but the form 11 won’t proceed to next screen unless I tick the box to say I let to a local authority or the dwelling act of 1982 applies. I’m sure it doesn’t as it’s only a 5 year old tenancy. I’m not sure I want to check this box but can’t see any workaround?

Just remember this has to be paid back if you cease to let the property within four years of the first year in which relief was claimed.

Example 1: A landlord owns one qualifying premises which is let to an unconnected
tenant in 2024, 2025 and 2026. The landlord claims the maximum of RPRIR for each
of these three years of assessment. In 2027, the landlord sells this qualifying
premises. The sale of this property triggers a clawback of the relief claimed for the
three years (2024, 2025 and 2026), as the disposal took place within four years of
the first year of assessment in respect of which relief was claimed.

I heard from revenue, you need to tick box to say it was rented to local authority. Glitch in system clearly
