Resident parking rights on public roads

I have had similar problems outside my house.
I have 4 parking spaces, clearly marked, as they are part of my property.
Cars were constantly parking there, so I placed a few traffic cones.
There were moved aside.

Not to be defeated.. I filled them with concrete.

You have a point.
But, thats not the way I roll.
If I cant use my own car spaces, then nobody else is going to use them.

Initially, it did not not work... a motorist moved one of the heavy cones and parked on my space.

It just highlights the stupidity of allowing developments with no off-street parking facilities.
I expect this is going to have to change over the coming years to facilitate electric vehicle charging, there’s a big issue brewing for those without driveways and the first thing to do when you’re in a hole is stop digging.
