Residency Clause

Can anyone give me more information regarding a residency clause or occupancy clause and conditions. When you build a new house do you have to live in it for 5 years before selling it or is there a shorter time than this?

AFAIK, residency clauses are generaly put in place for planning permission for one off houses. You are making a case that you HAVE to live in this area, and getting planning permission based on this, so the occupancy clause is put in. If you are buying a new house, for example, in a housing estate, you can sell it the next day after buying it if you want.
