Requesting bank to release Deeds quickly?

I have just gone Sale Agreed on property I am selling. Buyers are keen to move quickly, cash buyers and no chain on either side. I have been warned by solicitor that U..... bank are notoriously slow are releasing deeds.
Any tips on how to expediate this would be appreciated!
 
Is there much outstanding on the mortgage of the property ? If the gap is quite small you could see their concern I guess but I'd say it's more a case of bureaucratic banking about
 
Didnt think that would make a difference. 10k in pos equity. Looks like 2-3 month wait. Solicitor will have to hassle them with calls
 
Try and find out what section in the Bank authorises the release of the deeds on Accountable Trust Receipt and get your local branch follow this up. Some ban ks now store deeds/mortgage in warehouses which specialises in this function. In the past deeds were normally held in the bank"s head offfice or the local branch.
