Requested a P21

Hi,
I requested a P21 for 2009 as I suspected I was due a tax refund and indeed a cheque arrived from Revenue as part of a letter titled "Repayment Of Tax". No P21 though... is this coming seperately or should it have arrived with the cheque?

I just thought the P21 would arrive before anything else in relation to the request.
 
Usually the P21 arrives first indicating that a refund will be made. I'd give it a few days and then call your local office to follow up.
 
because the revenue are so considerate (joke!!) the cheque strangly can often arrive first, u shud get the P21 any day. if not like tkane said, give them a ring. sometimes when ordered over paye anytime it can be delayed.
 
I think there is about a 4 week wait on a P21 so basically means that your depending on whether the P21 is printed first or Cheque.

Seems like a bit of a lottery as the data is already in the revenues system so its not impossible the cheque is issued prior to the P21.
