Repossesed house, what happens to contents?

Recently, my house was repossessed by the bank. I had been living there on and off for several years. I currently reside with friends. Whilst I was abroad the bank enforced their possession order and removed all my possessions. They have since sold the house at an auction.

Question, am I entitled to my possessions back or are the bank entitled to skip everything? Do they have to store them and tell me where they are?

Thanks

What did the repossession order say? They generally give advance warning during which time you should remove any contents you want to keep.

The order was for the house only. No warning of them arriving was given. I found out during a visit that they had been.
I am more interested to know the legal standing. Do they have a duty of care towards possessions that they are not entitled to take?

Do they just skip everything or do they put stuff into storage?

How long elapsed between the order being granted and them taking possession?

If you were to expect them to care for any possessions left behind, they would be entitled to charge you for removal and storage costs.
