I bought a house before I was married, so the house is in my name and I make the repayments. We are in the process of buying a second property near my wife's parents which will be used when visiting the in-laws. I am increasing my current morgage to to pay for the new property. If the new property is in my name only, can I rent out the house to my wife and claim tax relief on expenses incurred?
