I'm about to move to a new rented accommodation. Currently there are 3 people there who signed a 1 year lease that has now expired, as they have lived there 1.5 years. One of them is moving out and i'm wondering how should his deposit be handled and if I need to pay one? I (and the remaining 2 people) dont want to sign a new lease. One person suggested I pay my deposit to the person moving out but will that possibly cause an issue in that the LL isnt involved?
