Renting out SO house

Hi there, we are making a move from SO house due the house being to small for our family ( two bedroom house, 3 kids). Currently paying 925 monthly. We found a 4 bedroom house on he same estate for he same money. We decided to go for it and rent out our SO house. We were told previously that we can't rent it out but if we do they won't make a big issue of it as long as the payments are being made. But this can be hard as we can only expect maybe 700 from renting our house. What the council can/will do if we pay less every month ?

Thanks

There are tons of threads about this already. Basically, renting out a shared ownership (and/or affordable housing) property is a breach of your contract with the Council. Depending on the Council they may choose to overlook it as long as the payments are being made. If you fall short they can take you to court to enforce the contract.
