I have been offered a job abroad but have only recently purchased my own house. If I rent my house (2 bed for 1k/month) what tax liability if any will I have if no longer living in this country?
Any help greatly appreciated. Paddy.

2017: Under the 280 day rule the odds are you will be resident in Ireland for 2017. You might get split year residence relief("SYR") on employment income if you don't plan on being resident in 2017. However without question a minimum would be that in 2017 you will pay tax on your Total income earned in Ireland for 2017. Add your P45 earnings and your rental income + other income and tax the totals.

If you are self employed and not taking up an employment abroad SYR will not apply and you will be subject to tax on your World Wide Income in 2017.

In 2018 do you plan on coming back to Ireland? When will you be away and in the country?
