renting out house to go overseas

Hi everyone,

Am thinking of going Australia for a year woth the hubby, got VISA approval and all, but we were wondering what to do about our house... Of course we would love to rent it out, but how do you go about doing such a think??? Do you have to pay taxes as it would be an income if someone was paying rent??? Dont fancy having to pay money from australia hile im there, does anyone think you'll make enough money to cover the mortgage?? Its a 2 bed room house in the lusk area... All comments and advice appreciated..

To go about renting it put on ad up on daft.ie.

If it is currently a repayment mortgfage ask the bank can you change it to an interest only mortgage if you want to increase your cash flow while in oz.

Not sure about teh tax implications.
