renting apartment

I currently live in my own residence 3years 10 months exactly.
i plan in the future to move out with my boyfriend to his property and rent the apt. mortgage on my apt is 170,000 . three rentable rooms 2km from galway city. i pay 880 per month with a yearly management fee of 1400. trying to decide whether renting or selling is my option.
 
Personally, I would rent it for the time being especially if it would nearly cover your mortgage costs - or switch mortgage to interest only to help. So you can see how things turn out with your boyfriend first - living together usually puts a different spin on most relationships, believe me! It's best to have your apartment just in case things don't work out.
 
tax implications for renting - stamp duty claw back, loss of mtr, lots of threads on aam at the mo on this. Lots of people considering the same.
