I have had a rental property since 2006 and have done returns every year since then but have always had a profit loss. For my return for 2009, I will have a rental profit. Can I offset this against the total rental losses I have had since 2006 and carry the total amount forward to cover any future profits or can I just offset the profit against the loss from 2008. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
