Can anyone offer any advice on this:
An unemplyed single girl, living alone, is renting a house and the local health board pay a good part of her weekly rent directly to the landlord. She is currently in receipt of unemployment assistance. She now has the offer of some part time work and her potential employer tells her she can claim part time unemployment assistance (not sure if thats the correct term or not)
Anyway what she needs to know is this - if she takes up the offer of part time work will she loose her rent supplement payment?
I took a look at the social welfare site for her but to be honest I dont understand how the calculations are worked out.
