Rent Relief

Hi,

I've never claimed rent relief before. I was in rental accommodation on 7th December 2010 as a student and since then I've been in a number of rentals. Would this make me eligible?

I would have a record of the landlord names and dates for various rentals and only a couple of receipts of rent paid. In some cases there were no tenancy agreements in place either. Would this matter or have a bearing?

2017 was the last year that you could claim rent relief. I' imagine that you will be able to claim it for 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. But you may be asked to furnish receipts for all rents paid.
