rent allowance problem

hi,
i am hoping someone can please help me. :confused: i have my house rented to a couple with one child on rent allowance. they are looking to get their son and girlfriend to move in who would also be on rent allowance. can i fill out 2 forms for the rent every month and and if so do i split the rent amount between the 2 forms????
any help greatly appreciated as i new at this game:eek:
 
As long as you're renting to both families, and the house is big enough for both families, then there's no problem filling out 2 forms and you can split the rent whichever way you choose. For example if the couple with one child use 2 bedrooms and the new couple use 1, you might charge the couple with the child more.

Just make your tenants aware that they will still be liable for all of the rent in the event that the new couple don't qualify for Rent Supplement.
