My extensive renovation work will (hopefully) be coming to an end early in the new year and I was just wondering what paperwork/certification I should be insisting on before making the final payment.
For example should something be provided in writing for and certifying:
- Electrical work carried out by builders electrician (some extensive rewiring in my case)
- Structural steel installed (as specified and inspected by structural engineer)
- Overall work in general (currently monitored by engineer). and re this should there be something stating that work is within current planning guidelines etc.
What do you think?
Is there anything else or what is the minimum I should be looking for?
