As your renewal date is 1st December 2017, there may be more price changes announced in the next week to keep an eye on.
For the 19 and 21 year old young adults, VHI are best value at the moment.
The following plans are worth considering for the 19 year old;
1. VHI PMI 12 11; price 363pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals, excess 125 per private admission or day case.
2. VHI PMI 40 15; price 365pa; all public, private and Beacon hospital covered, excess 75 per private admission or day case.

The following plans are worth considering for the 21 year old;
1. VHI PMI 40 15; price 522pa; all public, private and Beacon hospital covered, excess 75 per private admission or day case.
2. VHI PMI 44 16; price 535pa; all public, private(including private room) and 3 hi-tech hospitals, excess 150 per private admission or day case.
3. VHI PMI 43 15; price 559pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals, excess 150 per private admission or 50 per day case procedure.
Good day to day cover, 1 euro excess, 25 refund per gp visit, dental etc.

The following plans are worth considering for the 2 adults as an alternative to Flex 250 Explore;
Note; Hi-tech hospital cover for Blackrock Clinic and Mater Private has been dropped from Flex 250 Explore except cardiac and orthopaedic.
In order to maintain full hi-tech cover as before the following VHI plan is a good choice;
1. VHI PMI 44 16; price 1102pa(from 1 Nov); all public, private(including private room), and 3 hi-tech hospitals, excess 150 per private
admission or day case procedure.
If full hi-tech hospital cover is not a priority, the following Laya plan is worth considering;
2. Essential Health 300; price 932pa; all public, private and Beacon hospital covered, private excess 300 x 2 max per year, day case excess 125.
Cardiac fully covered also in Mater Private and Blackrock Clinic.
