VHI Renewal with VHI - PMI4316.

There are 2 options to consider with VHI as follows;
Cheapest option;
1. Company Plan Plus Level 1.3; price 1128pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, private/hi-tech excess 150 per admission and
day case excess 50 per procedure. There is no excess to pay in any public hospital. Good day to day cover included, 50% refund for gp visits,
consultants etc - subject to a max refund of 1000 per year.
Better Option and cheaper than PMI 43 16 which will increase to 1226 from 31st December 2018.
2. VHI PMI 07 10; price 1188pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, private/hi-tech excess capped at 150 x 1 per year for all
admissions (regardless of how many per year). Day case excess 50 per procedure in a private or hi-tech hospital. There is no excess to pay in any
public hospital. Good day to day cover included, 50% refund for gp visits, consultants etc - subject to a max refund of 2000 per year.

Yes, PMI 07 10 is best value hospital coverwise, as it has a capped inpatient excess in private hospitals, 150 x 1 per year for all admissions.
There is 50 euro approx between Company Plan Extra Level 1.3 @ 1193 per year. Cover is similar apart from the capped excess and price.
So, the only reason for switching is to save 100 euro per year.
