Are banks allowing existing borrowers to remortgage these days? I've never even considered it. But with two small kids and no possibility of ever saving to get money to get to my desired suburb its best to just suck it up and look long term.
The mortgage at this point is €221,000 with 27 years to go. On a tracker with UB ( I know I know). Wife currently on unpaid maternity leave with a possibility of her not returning. My gross income is about 50k and the house is probably worth about 280k.
Based just on income should i be writing off this idea? Or do i go look for 30k off the bank to try convert the attic or build an extension??
