Registering an Enduring Power of Attorney

I have an EPOA in place for my dad.
Getting to the stage now, alas, where I need to invoke it.
Just wondering how long does the Registering process take and approximate costs please.

Solicitor will be best person to advise on costs.

Last time I had to do this was 5-ish years ago & my memory is there wasn't much change from 3k. Your milage may vary.

I need to register an EPOA too (drafted pre 2023). Two quick questions:
1. Can his GP do the medical report (so long as it's in the prescribed format)?
2. What sort of costs and timescales are involved?

I heard it takes approximately 6 months...

I did it for my parents last year using the new online system. It took approx 8 months from start to finish. The online system was new at the time and there was a lot of coverage of delays due to a backlog in the system, hopefully that has reduced by now.
