I am 68. I am working for about e18,000 pa .I am employed with the same employer for 9 years approx. I am likely to be made compulsory redundand shortly due to the need for the company to reduce costs. I also receive a reduced Irish contributory pension of about e100 per week.
I am reminded by a friend that regular payments received from Social Welfare will not allow me to receive redundancy money from the Irish Social Welfare as well as they only allow one payment to be received by a benificiary from them.
I maintain that this rule only applies to regular payments and the redundacy money is a once off payment and therefore
is not affected and also does not affect my meagure pension either! Am I correct?
