Hi all,
I have eventually wound up in marketing but no marketing degree. I've no problem doing my job, but as things progress I would like to tighten things up a bit. For instance I have processes and proceedures in place for various activities, and they work for me, but I would now like to start comparing them to "best practice" or "common practice".
Can anybody recommed books that are fairly practical with common techniques methodologies for the following:
- general marketing strategies... e.g. the various marketing roles that can exist and how to use those roles for demand generation, execution, sales enablement etc etc etc
- internal and external communications (specifically best strategy for segmenting messages by audience, best structure for these messages etc etc)
- publications (brochures/whitepaper etc).... specifically best layout for different types of marketing collateral
- event management
I have no real need for advertising, pricing, marketing analysis etc etc.
Any ideas? I know some of the above is pretty specific.
