We are staying in Wexford Town for two nights in mid August, can anyone recommend any good restaurants for dinner in evenings, two adults!

thanks

Green Acres is also excellent. They are also possibly the finest wine shop in the country.

I love Wexford town. I think it's very under rated as a destination. Lovely vibe, great pubs and restaurants and a great base to visit the wider area.

Thanks for both recommendations, like the look of both and have made reservations , we are doing a Sunny South East trip in mid August and taking in Dunmore East, Duncannon, Hook, Wexford town and Gorey, Just need the weather to continue like it is now!! thanks

If you're visiting Hook and like a nice walk then try the Slade to Hook coastal walk.

You can then pop in to The Hollow for your dinner on the way back. It is one of the best fish restaurants I've been to. Book in advance.

The Old Granary, formerly 10 West, is owned by Greenacres and is also very good.

Franks Place is also very good (may have a connection to Greenacres as well).

If you fancy a drive to Kilmore village Mary Berry's restaurant is a very well known , very good , restaurant....
My family have driven there , while staying in Wexford town, for a meal . We were always very impressed. Great selection and great food, especially fish. It's a big restaurant but I would always book... especially at the weekends.

Jaspers worked well for a bunch of us over Christmas - we had some vegans and veggies and they were happy too.

We have never tried Jaspers but must check it out the next time we are in Wexford.......and Culletons ...

I had Tapas in https://oldgranary.ie/van-kaats-tapas-wexford/ (Van Kaats)recently, downstairs in the Old Granary. It was superb.
