Rebate for PRSA contributions

Hi , I posted this in the taxation forum but didn't get a response. I guess it's also related tothe pension forum, so here goes.I paid 1200 into my personal PRSA in Jan-Apr 2010. I recently contacted the revenue for a rebate who said it would be in my next paycheck.However I noticed the rebate was only 252 (i.e. at my lower tax rate).I would have thought it would have been at the higher rate.Does anyone know if I’m interpreting this correctly?

Did you notice the rebate on your statement of tax relief from revenue. If so check that the amount of tax payable at 20% has also been increased. This should bring the rebate up to 41 % of 1,200
