re:Planting trees

We are starting to do up our garden and have bought some nice shrubs for the front. Want to plant a few small trees also. Bought some crab apple which are lovely and don't grow too high. Anyone recommend any other type of small tree?

Good luck with your garden. I can recommend the weeping pear. Lovely silver foliage and blossoms in spring. Any of the willows that are grafted should be okay too ... especially for damp soil. White himalayan cherry ... and rowan are good too for year round interest.
