a company has shut one of its offices, and redeployed staff to other building.
The consolidated office has 2 front desk staff, and management firm has told 2 present staff to re-apply for jobs, as 1 member of staff based in closed site will be included.
1. Do company have to offer redundancy before asking staff to re-apply ??
2. Is this common practice ?? , what rights have present workers on-site ??
