raising the height of doord

Hi
I am in the process of snagging an apartment. There is a problem with double French doors not opening properly because of the wooden flooring in the room is too thick. I've been told that you can adjust the height of the doors by a couple of inches.
Has anybody seen or heard of this?

Just get a centimeter planed off the bottom of the door. That should do it.
