Raisin Products

Two emails from raisin this afternoon:

Good news, Nordax Bank has informed us about an upcoming interest rate increase on its demand deposit account. As of 28.09.2026, the new interest rate of 2,24 % will apply.

And

Good news, Avarda Bank has informed us about an upcoming interest rate increase on its demand deposit account. As of 28.09.2026, the new interest rate of 2,27 % will apply.

Nice to see Nordax being kicked into something other than .01% increases. And Avarda doing less of their “one foot forward and two steps back again” routine.

Debating moving 66% of my demand cash to CF+ Bank’s 7 day product for the additional .05%/.06% over FCM/IKB. The Wednesday only rule for transactions is slightly off putting given Raisin’s recent inconsistency in transaction turnaround. Wouldn’t like to have inward transactions (deposits) stuck in Raisin’s transaction account earning nothing for 6 days because Raisin were slow processing.

Nordax finally getting a bit more serious on their fourth attempt this month. Email received from Raisin just before midnight.

Good news, Nordax Bank has informed us about an upcoming interest rate increase on its demand deposit account. As of 30.09.2026, the new interest rate of 2,31 % will apply.

I notice Raisin is offering a demand account paying 2.31% held with an unnamed Irish bank, here is the detail from the website

SimpleSave

SimpleSave is a demand deposit account provided by Raisin Bank and offered exclusively through the Raisin platform. When you save with SimpleSave, Raisin Bank holds your funds on your behalf (in a fiduciary capacity) with an Irish bank. These deposits are fully protected by the Irish Deposit Guarantee Scheme up to €100,000 per person, per institution. As this is a demand deposit, your money remains available for withdrawal at any time. Further details and terms are available in our product information sheet

It's listed in the Best Buys albeit with a slightly incorrect name - SimplySave instead of the correct SimpleSave.

Email from Raisin this afternoon, Avarda joining the gaggle of banks on 2.31/2.32% for demand deposit

Good news, Avarda Bank has informed us about an upcoming interest rate increase on its demand deposit account. As of 08.10.2026, the new interest rate of 2,32 % will apply.

More good news from Raisin, email sent just after midnight:

Good news, IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG has informed us about an upcoming interest rate increase on its demand deposit account. As of 09.10.2026, the new interest rate of 2,32 % will apply.

And another one. Another .01% increase. Getting a bit ridiculous now, Nordax’s fourth or fifth baby step in the space of 2 weeks. Poor @Lightning

Good news, Nordax Bank has informed us about an upcoming interest rate increase on its demand deposit account. As of 09.10.2026, the new interest rate of 2,32 % will apply.

Email from Raisin this evening. Further increase in Avarda’s demand rate

Good news, Avarda Bank has informed us about an upcoming interest rate increase on its demand deposit account. As of 15.10.2026, the new interest rate of 2,34 % will apply.

Followed two hours later by:

Good news, Nordax Bank has informed us about an upcoming interest rate increase on its demand deposit account. As of 15.10.2026, the new interest rate of 2,34 % will apply.

So the 2.32% gaggle are becoming the 2.34% gaggle

The relentless gradual tiny increases in rates continue.

ECB Deposit Rate going up 0.25% does not translate into an immediate 0.25% increase with these banks but rather a gradual trickle of tiny increases in most cases that may or may not deliver the full 0.25% eventually.
