Radiator thermostats

I was hoping to install these in my house (which is c25 years old). Unfortunately, the only one's that seem to be available are for newer (?) pipe diameters.

Does anyone have any experience / recommendations in getting these to work with older pipes?

you can ask your plumbing supplier or local hardware for adapter rings

Most TRVs available are marked 15mm as opposed to the 1/2" pipe we use in Ireland. Simply replace the 15mm olives supplied with 1/2" olives. Olives cost about 20 cent each so this is a cheap fix and performance will not be affected in any way.
