Quiet extractor hood ?
Any recommendation for quiet 90cm extractor hood.

Willing to pay, but not silly money.

I have a similar model and on all but the max (power 1 to 4) you can comfortably talk around it. 5" outlet fitted which does help.

There are hood configurations whereby the actual motor is a separate unit and is installed outside the building.

In my circumstances, I needed to do this as my setup only allowed for a downdraft unit. and to improve the flow rate a better motor was needed and thus to make it quieter, we placed it outside..

Have a look at the Novy extractor van. It has an external motor which means it is very quite even at max power
