Quick question - buying a new house and solicitor's fees

Hi All,

If we pull out of a new house purchase before signing the contracts, we get the full booking deposit back right? Or do we have to pay their solicitor's fees for sending out the contract??

Also, do you think we will have to pay our own solicitor for receiving the contract? She's charging us a flat fee. I know, I'll call her now!

You'll get the full booking deposit back without deduction.

You shouldn't have to pay your solicitor for just receiving the contract unless she has actually done some work on it.
