Quick P30 question

Hi guys,

I'm filling in a P30 for the first time for myself (an employee of my own company).

So a P30 form has 2 fields in it:
1. Tax, USC
2. PRSI

I get 1650/12 =137.50 tax credits each month. So do I put the following into field 1:
income tax + USC - tax credits

or are tax credits somehow dealt with separately?

Thanks,
Stephen

check deloitte.ie/tc/ use this site to calculate your payroll

when you see what your annual figures are for tax, PRSi and USC and divide by 12 to get your monthly figure.

Hi Capefear,

I reread my post there and its not very clear what I was asking. I've already paid myself a salary in January so I know what my USC / TAX / PRSI figures are.

I'm wondering where how my tax credits are incorporated into my P30.

Thanks,
Stephen

The tax figure on the P30 is the tax actually deducted, which should be after tax credits.

So, say you paid yourself €2,000 gross, then you should have deducted (€400-137.5) €262.50 in tax from the payment (plus USC/PRSI). The €262.50 goes into the P30.
