question on jobseekers allowance.

question.partner has been unemployed since november,applied for jobseekers,has all letters from places in has applied for work.he was means tested in my parents house(living with my parents,not paying rent) but still hasnt heard from welfare if he can claim job seekers or dole.

I dont live with my parents only he does.what to do next ?

He should ask at the SW office where he signs on to find out about the status of his claim. There are delays in processing claims at the moment so a delay of a few months isn't unusual.
