Hi folks....

Anybody got any hints or tips or sources of additional study material for the post of clerical officer exams?

yip...its the civil service.

have the exam friday week and was looking for any helpful hints.....

Check the public jobs website. There are sample tests on there. They are a tad bit easier than the actual tests but are a good benchmark.

I would advise you if at all possible to try to get in to the Civil Service at Executive Officer level at least, people can be stuck for years at Clerical Officer level.

yeah, they said we'd hear back by the end of sept. -which is not too bad. i was expecting longer.
it went ok but i would definetly recommend practice for these type of things. was very disappointed with the Irish exam. for some bizare reason i thought it was going to be an oral Irish exam at a future date....it was written exam. My Irish is good when im speaking but, not so when im reading/writing it....hence i did crap in that part.
