Public / Bank Holidays 2006

Got a free boylesport diary in the post last week. all public holidays and bank holidays listed. Good Friday is not a bank holiday in Holy Ireland but is in Pagan Britain. Strange. ( the holy and pagan are jokes -not to give offence )

Actually it is a bank holiday. But it's not a public holiday. Many people assume that the two are synonymous but they are not and they don't always overlap.

As in next week when Monday and Tuesday are public holidays while Wednesday is a bank holiday, but not a public holiday.

Just to clarify and be pedantic tarf head Sunday and Monday are public holidays Tuesday is a regular day with many companies giving employees the day off in lieu of Sunday and Wednesday is a bank holiday.
