ptsb raising variable mortgage rates

This article again contains a Broker suggesting that rates might go to 6% and fix now. Be careful if you are contemplating surrendering a tracker mortgage. The ECB rate will change upwards and downwards based on the Euro area inflation stats. Conditions can change rapidly and you could be stuck on a high fixed rate after pressing the panic button. Have a look at Credit Unions some very good rates in some of them.
