PRTB Late Registration Fine €110 - 1 week late worth appealing?

Has anyone been issued with a PRTB fine for late registration and successfully appealed it?

I registed a new tenancy 1 week late at the beginning of September 2011 and have just now, 9 months later, received a fine of €110 for late payment!

I'm considering appealing as I have always been compliant and on time with tenancy registrations since 2004. Some of my registrations have never been acknowledged and no receipts received.
 
This story doesn't make sense. The PRTB will not let you register late unless you pay double the rate. 90 becomes 180.

Delgirl are you referring to NPPR or the Household charge?
 
Yes its just a double rate just had to pay it-totally forgot about 41/2 yr old tenancy.
