Hi
My parents in law had a shop for 20 odd years which they retired from 4 years ago. My mother in law only realised then that she hadn't been paying PRSI stamps so wouldn't get a state pension when she hit 65. So being only 52 she went back to work mainly to accumulate stamps. Recently we had a baby and she would love to mind her full time while both parents work. Her only concern here is that she wouldn't be paying PRSI anymore and her OAP would go again. So my question is, is there any way that she could register as a child minder and we will pay her and the PRSI contributions? Or is there some other that she could mind the child and keep her PRSI contributions up without registering as a child minder?
Cheers,
