Problems with getting UK property landlord insurance

Has anyone got recent experience of how to get a tenanted UK property covered for Landlord insurance?

Since Brexit it has been getting almost impossible to get this kind of insurance and now it appears, unless you have UK citizenship, you have a UK passport or live in N Ireland or the UK you get turned away.

Has anyone managed to find a way around this dilemma as needless to say, I have neither a UK passport nor citizenship papers let live outside Ireland,

Only yesterday I was searching for UK landlord insurance and I was given a quote by Alan Boswell Group Insurance Brokers. They are highly recommended online and one of the best in the market, their number is 01603 915131. Like you I also live in Ireland.
 
Yes, I'm from Ireland and currently live here too but I've lived overseas in the UK and elsewhere for several years during my earlier working life.

Thanks Delfi for that link , I'll happily give them a ring in the morning.

Lots of UK sites I've rung already have basically said when they cover expats , they mean UK nations with proof of UK citizenship or a UK passport.
Since Brexit, we get lumped in with the EU I'm afraid.

The policy Quotation I received from them yesterday contained my Irish address so I'm pretty confident, I can take out the policy. I applied through their website www.alanboswell.com
