Problems playing Videos/DVD`s/CDs on a PC

when i go to play videos i get a message that says that direct draw acceleration is not available on my pc. when i checked it out i found that the direct 3dacceleration and agp texture acceleration are all unavailable i tried to enable them and that doesn't work, i also tried fixing it with the remote desktop trick but that didnt work either what can i do to fix this?

I have Windows Vista
 
Sounds like the Video card in your PC could be too old for the version of DirectX running on the PC. Is this a possibility? If so you might want to try updating the drivers for your card.
