problem with riello rdb boiler

need advice please, the burner is running fine only the smoke comming out of the flue is black, i gave it more air and cured the problem for a day and then its back to black smoke again. the air setting was at 5 and i raised it to 6! any advice ???

you boiler will need to be cleaned out, burner will need servicing, new nozzle, correct oil pressure set, and air set, then flue gas analyzed (anything less would be a guess)

Definitely as this will also highlight why it was sooting up in the first instance. Call in an OFTEC engineer to do a full once over.
