Problem with Advent 10 m pixel Digital Camera

Help! I bought a new Advent Camera in Currys just before Christmas and have just tried to connect it to my computers. Neither my laptop or my PC will recognise it. The software CDrom that came with it was labelled "Advent" but when installed it turns out to be Ulead Photo Viewer. I presume this makes no difference. Any advice greatfully received. Thanks in advance
 
Are you sure there was only one CD rom enclosed with your camera? ULead software is for editing and viewing photos only ...... you need to look for the Drivers for your camera. These are usually on a separte CDrom. If not enclosed you can hopefully download these from the manufacturers website.
 
Thanks Amygdala. Another look at the CDrom revealed drivers that I had not downloaded! And also a Users Manual! Still not very user-friendly but the camera is showing up on my PC. I'm on the right track now.
