We are sale agreed on a house and found out last week that their probate application had a query. According to them, the probate office raised a query with their application and it has been dealt with. Has anybody ever had experience with this and know how long this adds on? Or if the application then goes to the back of the queue? Any information would be a big help!! Thanks

Hi I’m just wondering what happened re timelines in the end for you any information would be a great help I’m gone wrong in the head re probate thank you.

@newmoon

Did probate last year.
There was a few separate mistakes and the probate form was posted back each time. There was no overall delay in gaining probate. Each time the corrected form was returned the process continued. No return to start of queue.

I've been told the opposite in the past, a query won't return you to the bottom of the queue but an error will. It may depend on what office you were doing probate through.

I was dealing with the Dublin office. The form with an error was returned within roughly one week after it was hand delivered to the Dublin probate office.

It’s a nightmare I was told my vender’s solicitor that they were waiting for the office to issue that’s was six weeks ago so I fearful something is going wrong the probate office has a query took nine weeks for documentation to be sorted it’s been sorted over six weeks ago still waiting to issue. So stressed not knowing the process or what could be going on I’m hounding my own solicitor auctioneer etc
