Probate Office Waiting Times

How long is it at the moment for a Personal Application to get an appointment and then how long after the appointment will it be finalised ?

I am Executor in my father's Estate. I submitted everything I had in May 2013, got an acknowledgement letter at that point and have heard nothing since.

Worth giving them a call jsut to chase it up, but when I did it a couple of years ago it only took less than 6 months to get an appointment.

I received a letter last Sept from the Probate Office saying they were at that stage dealing with applications received last March, so it looks like a 6 month waiting period.
