I am currently renovating my house and also need to buy a car so I am thinking of getting carvan like the Volkswagen Caddy to help with transporting gear. I've been offered a 1.8 diesel 2001 for 2 grand so its not a bad deal but I just want to find out if it will be possible for me to get private insurance on this or do they only give commercial insurance on these?
I'm working in IT during the day and doing the house in evenings and weekends. I turn 25 in 3 weeks and got my full licence in December 2004 and have 1 yrs name driver insurance only and no penalty points - does anyone know of any companies that will give me private insurance on this as when I complete the online forms theres no option for this particular make and model?
