Price for 2 red deal Stairs ?

I recieved the following quote for supply and fit of 2 red deal stairs in a new build:

Stairs1: 7 steps, half landing, 6 more steps.balustrade on one side.
Stairs2: Straight stairs, wall on each side so no bannisters.

Got a quote of €2,850 and €1,400 repsectively, + VAT.

Does this sound OK?

(just looking for post-recession, bog standard, plain stairs; not the curved oak variety that posters were building last year!)
 
I got a quote for 16 step stairs, central staircase with 120 spindles and 6 balustrades..
Red deal it was approx 1080 plus vat..
Teak was 2500 plus vat
Oak was 4500 plus vat

Suplly only though

so you seem to be getting pre-recession prices
 
Bought 2 flights of oak stairs (open Riser) ground floor to first floor and first floor to attic, both quotes were around 7,500
