Theres no practical way to waterproof a house unless it has a hull.

God Help you.

I've been driving all over Galway and the Mid West in the past few days and have seen the devastation. I am so so sorry for you. It must be heartbreaking to have to abandon your home to the elements, and I can only wish you a successful meeting with the assessor.

The only comfort is that anything which doesn't kill you or your family, can be got over. Keep your spirits up, you'll eventually get through this.

From report it seems to becoming through walls, and floors. So dunno what you can do about that.
