Sorry @DannyBoyD I couldn't find anything about the SFT in the Key Post. I realise that the Irish State Pension does not count towards the SFT but I assumed the UK State pension might.

The SFT is a limit on benefits received from tax relieved pension products.

These products are referred to as a 'relevant pension arrangement' in legislation. A relevant pension arrangement is defined here:

No 39 of 1997, Section 787O, Interpretation and general (Chapter 2C).

A UK State pension is not listed as a relevant pension arrangement.
