Preferential Rate Mortgages and Tax Relief at Source

We are trying to get information on reclaiming tax relief due to us on our mortgage based on the fact that a portion of our mortgage is on a preferential fixed rate, with the remainder on a variable tracker? The bank instructions are to make sure that the revenue is aware of the perferential rate loan to ensure maxiumum relief but calls to the revenue have been fruitless. Can anyone shed any light on this for us? We have been on preferential rate mortgages since 2003? Thanks.

Could anybody help with the above query? I am in a similar situation and have paid substantial benefit in kind on my preferential loan in the two years. Was hoping to get some tax relief. (s122 of TCA 1997)
Revenue have proved unhelpful
